Sweet spring day

Beautiful windy sunny day.  School is done, girls have been outside all over the yard, and a very sweet tea party was set up by Jori as a surprise for Em.  God certainly knew what he was doing when he put it on our heart to take these girls out of school.  What a gift for the whole family.  It is apparent everyday that this is God's desire for our family.  What a joy to be obedient to our Lord.
As we contemplate the next few years and changes it may bring for our family, we are very aware of our need to seek God out and follow his heart for us.  We completely trust in his wisdom and desire to follow Him.
May the Lord shine on your day.

He has a plan

God always has a plan, we know that and we trust in him completely.  Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
In the current economic climate we find ourselves turning to that passage more and more.  God always promises to give us the needed provisions, and He always does, we need to look past ourselves and recognize that it is always enough, even when it doesn't seem that way.
Thank you Lord for loving us like you do, we praise you for all you have done for us and we trust in you completely, we put ourselves totally in your care.  In your precious son Jesus name, Amen

Spring has Sprung

And isn't it so beautiful.  I have been very neglectful of this blog and will try to get back on track.  We are very busy just enjoying everything, the Lord, each other and this glorious weather which He has provided.  We are spending as much time as we can outside.  Lots of baseball in our yard between Jim, me and the girls.
Soccer season has started and the first of the games was today.  Both girls played well and had fun.  Jori is considering a sports change to baseball or softball.  Hmmm, you never know with that girl.  What a precious gift she is!
Emmy has secured employment, she is now the proud mother's helper to a wonderful family we attend church with.  Once a week she spends a morning with the family and entertains the two toddler girls while Mama can get some rest and focus on her little one.  It's seems to be a blessing in all directions.
Jim is still training for a marathon that is to occur in May, his cardiologist has given the ok and Jim feels better than he has in years(maybe a heart attack at 42 isn't so bad?)  Yes it is, we don't recommend it at all, however Jim has bounced back amazingly, all the praise to God for that.

God's Blessings on the rest of your weekend.  Rest in Him.
